I recently completed 2 books dealing with atheists and non-Christian believers (secularist and humanist). I’m a basic Gensis 1-11 believer. All we see, have, or understand is only by God and His Grace. The Book of Romans, Chapter 1 contains some strong wording for those who deny God’s existence…even the very things of nature points to God. In one of the books, the author (Mark Clark) started a church for septics in Canada. So this book is written to the septics and address all major concerns raised by the and resolve their issues with good old fashion Christian reason. From the book: “Raised an atheist, Mark Clark was skeptical of the claims of Christianity. Yet as he searched for answers to his persistent questions about origins, meaning, and morality, he found that Christianity offered rational answer that were surprisingly better than any other world view, religious or secular, in the marketplace of ideas. “The Problem of God” emerges from the intersection of two worlds: Clark’s former life as a skeptic and his work today pastoring skeptics who are looking to better understand Christianity and find answers to their questions. Clark encourages readers to not dismiss the teachings of Jesus and the Christian faith as outdated and irrelevant. Instead, we need to doubt our courts, suspend our disbelief, and make room fo ideas that may draw us outside the assumptions we’re used to. In a disarming, winsome, and persuasive way, “The Problem of God” respond to the top ten God questions of our present age, including: Does God even exists? What do we do with Christianity’s violent history? Is Jesus just another myth? Doesn’t science disprove the Bible? Is God anti-sex? and Aren’t Christians hypocrites? Far from being irrational, Clark shows that Christianity welcomes and encourages intellectual questioning Andy why belief in Good nd the Christian faith is both rational and compelling.”

“The Book of Signs”
“The Book of Signs” by Dr. David Jeremiah. This was one of the really interesting books I have read on the subject of end times. The book is written from a pastor’s perspective. I have for many years sat before Dr. Jeremiah and listen and learned enough to understand this man has a heavy heart for those who are lost and will go through the tribulation. From the book: “It’s my sincere hope that you have increased your knowledge of the end times by reading this book. But knowledge is not enough. In fact, knowledge is only helpful to us if it leads to action. Therefore, based on my reading in the New Testament epistles, here are ten ways we as Christians should be deferent as a result of our prophetic knowledge. In each of the following Scripture passages, I have italicized words connection the admonition with the promise of Christ’s return.
1. Refrain from judging others: 1 Corinthians 4:5 (NKJV) “5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.”
2. Remember the Lord’s Table: 1 Corinthians 11:26 (NKJV) “26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.”
3. Respond to life spiritually:Colossians 3:1-4 (NKJV) “1 If then you were rais ed with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who isour life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
3. Relate to one and another in love: 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 (NKJV) 1”2 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we doto you, 13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christwith all His saints.”; Jude 1:21 (NKJV) 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:21 (NKJV) “21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
5. Restore the bereaved: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NKJV) “13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive andremain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.17 Then we who are alive andremain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
6. Recommit ourselves to the ministry: 2 Timothy 4:1-2 (NKJV) “1 I charge youtherefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearingand His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season andout of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”
7. Refuse to neglect church: Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV) “24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as isthe manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
8. Remain steadfast: James 5:7-8 (NKJV) “7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See howthe farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
10. Renounce sin in our lives: 1 John 2:28-29 (NKJV) 2”8 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.”
10. Reach the lost: Jude 1:21-23 (NKJV) “21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christunto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling themout of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.””

Ken Ham’s “Six Days, The Age of the Earth and the Decline of the Church”
Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
This book too is an eye-opener. It is time for the sleeping Christian to wake up. Not “woke” up but to wake up…. From the books’s cover:
“Today , many
Bible colleges, seminaries, K-12 Christian schools, and even parts of the homeschool movement do not accept the first eleven chapters of Genesis as literal history. They try to fit the supposed billions of years into Genesis, and some even teach evolution as fact.
More and more pastors, church leaders, and Bible scholars are choosing either not to take a stand on Genesis or to teach some form of evolution or millions of years in their churches, Sunday schools, or college courses. Many will discount biblical creationism or try to convince those who sit under their teachings that Genesis is symbolic, or that somehow millions of years can be fit in, or that God really did use evolution to create the universe.
• Discover how many evangelical leaders, wittingly or unwittingly, undermine the authority of God’s Word by compromising the clear meaning of the Bible in Genesis.
• Learn how accepting that the earth or universe is billions of years old unlocks a door to compromise.
•Heed the wake-up call to the Church to return to the authority of God’s Word, from the first page.
Ken Ham, international speaker and author on biblical authority, examines how compromise starting in Genesis, particularly in regard to the six days of creation and the earth’s age, have filtered down from Bible colleges and seminary to pastors — and finally to parents and their children. This erosive legacy is seeing generations of young people leaving the Church. Get the facts, discover God’s truth, and help bring a new reformation to the Church and to the authority of God’s Word.
Ken Ham’s “The Great Dinosaur Mystery Solved!”
I enjoyed this book. It would be nice if sometime Ken explains where all the “tools” man used to create things went….

From the books’s cover: “A dinosaur book like you’ve never seen before! Not only is the ‘dinosaur mystery’ solved, but you’ll be taught the TRUE history of the earth and its inhabitants! Your thinking about this world will never be the same again! A wealth of information combined into one volume, this fascinating book is a perfect addition to your family library!” I agree…
A review of Ken Ham’s “How Could a Loving God…?”
This book is probably one of the best I’ve read of Ken Ham’s. I read just about every thing Ken has written, since God place it on my heart to be part of the His truth when it come to how life came into existence. It is wonderful to see how things become clear. God is deepening my perspective of his majesty and glory. This book talks about the
story of loss the Ken experience when his brother died. It is a powerful testimony. I wish some day the Ken would publish his brother biography. The snippets in this book were powerful. From the book’s cover:
“It really isn’t a fair rights it? The finite against the infinite. The limited against the unlimited…
• Is God indifferent to my suffering?
• How do I resolve this anger at God?
• Why didn’t God prevent this from happening?
• Will I see loved ones again — or is heaven just a “feel good” myth?
People assume Christians have all the answers — yet, in the face of tragedy, death, or suffering, everyone struggles to find just the right words to bring comfort or closure to those in need.
Sometimes just hearing “It is God’s will” isn’t enough. Sometimes just saying “God will turn this to good” seems so meaningless when despair is so profound.
Often the pain goes too deep, the questions won’t go away, and even the assurance of faith doesn’t help. How could God let this happen? How can God love us, yet allow us to suffer in this way? What is the point of this — what is the purpose?
In this provocative book, Ken Ham makes clear the answers found in the pages of Scripture — powerful, definitive, and in a way that helps our hearts to go beyond more acceptance. When you grasp the reality of original sin — and all that it means — it creates a vital foundation for your heart to finally understand what follows.
A review of Ken Ham and Bodie Hodge’s book, “Class Hours, Shattering the Myth of Evolution.”
I found this book to be much interesting. I have trusted the Scripture from its very first words of Genesis 1, In th
e beginning…. My heart breaks today for pastors and Christians who have found it ok to place “millions of years” (evolution) into the very first Words from God to his children. I believe that much learning has not benefited mankind in the search of truth. I pray for people to come back to the truth starting with Genesis 1-11. From the cover of the book;
“Evolution as an idea is considered a rock-solid truth among secular scientists, but when you begin looking at the evidence and asking simple questions, unproven myth, and outright misconceptions – like a glass house built on shifting sands.
– Discover the pervasive influences of the atheistic religion of Darwinian evolution
– Learn what science is and how science is actually devastating to evolution
– Explore how evolution developed from unproven science to a popular and cultural world view
Now a powerful team of credentialed scientists, researches, and Biblical apologists take on the pillars of evolution, and the truths they reveal decimate Darwin’s beliefs using a Biblical and logical approach to evidence…The glass house has shattered.”
A Review of a Book Entitled, “The Lie”
Review of Ken Ham’s book the “Lie.” This is a 25-year anniversary revised and update of previous work. Like most of Ken’s books the theme is identical to his previous works. That is good because the only way a person typically learns is by repetition. The following books summary is from the
book’s cover: “….Ken Ham once again takes the
lead in pointing out the looming precipice too many church leaders are rushing towards: a denial of the full authority and accuracy of the Bible formats very first verse. In addition, Ken powerfully shows how the ideas of evolution and millions of years are driving young people away from the Christian faith, but provides solid, biblical solutions to turn things around. Published in 1987, this book took a bold stand which became prophetic. Ken warned the church about the destructive effects of compromise in Genesis would undermine Scripture authority in the culture and erode confidence in the infallibility of God’s Word. Today, Christians (and those considering the Christian faith) increasingly doubt the Bible’s reliability.
– Compromising Genesis has led to a generational loss of an acceptance of the absolute authority of the Word of God, leading to an exodus of young people from the church.
– Why Genesis remains critically important in preaching the Gospel.
– Discover how your handling of the biblical account of creation impacts your understanding of all of Scripture and your worldview.
The issues are of critical importance when you realize that today we have Christians not only confused about Genesis and the age of the earth, but even the reality of Hell, Adam as real person, and Christ’s own words about creation, marriage and more, as they are debated in the pulpits across the world. One compromise just leads to another — and it has to end it we want a legacy of faith to future generations.”
The Importance of Understanding Genesis…
My Lord has laid it on my heart to understand more closely the importance of Genesis as it relates to the historical accounts our God has recorded in His Word. I have focused on Answers in Genesis (AiG) and other sources in the study. I am blessed by what is being revealed.
“The Deplorables Guide to Making America Great Again” by Todd Starnes
From the book flap, “President Obama call us bitter. Hillary Clinton called us irredeemable. The mainstream media call us backwater bigots. We were mocked by Hollywood and dismissed by academics. We were marginalized by the media—bullied and belittled by sex and gender revolutionaries. But all that changed on Election Day, and now it’s time for all of us Deplorables to get to work. Our long national nightmare may be over, but that doesn’t mean we can take a vacation to Dollywoood just yet. We’ve got some work to do folks. After President Reagan brought morning to America, conservatives took a nap. We grew complacent. And faster than your could say “Read my lips,” the national elected a community organizer overlord. So how can we prevent that from happening again? In The Deplorables’ Guide to Making American Great Again Todd Starnes offers practical advice fighting and winning the war on traditional American values. Armed with the Bible in one hand and his signature wit in the other, Starnes shows you how to be a happy warrior.”
This book was a good read. The basic tenant is the family unit under the guidance and love of the parents is the building block for resolving most of the problems in the United States. Dare I say, I agree with him. It is apparent, the process starts at home and then in the schools and then in the community. It seems to be much work, but speaking as a patriot, this land is worth it.
